Substrate Pre-treatment: Quenching & High-temperature Tempering (Quenched and Tempered)

• Substrate Hardness: HB 260～290 (equivalent to HRC 25～29)

• Purpose: Ensure matrix toughness to avoid cracking or torsion fracture after nitriding.

Final Surface Treatment: Gas Nitriding

• Heat Treatment Process: Gas nitriding at 520~560°C 

• Nitrided Case Depth: 0.5～0.8 mm

• Surface Hardness: HV 950～HV1020 

• Brittleness Grade: ≤ Grade 2 (Grade 1 for premium requirement)

• Application: General rubbers including EPDM, NR, NBR, CR; non-highly-filled formulations without strong corrosive media.

Optional Upgrade: Nitriding + Hard Chrome Plating

• Chrome Coating Thickness: 0.05～0.10 mm

• Surface Hardness after Chrome Plating: HV 900～950

• Advantages: Anti-adhesion, corrosion resistance, easy cleaning; suitable for silicone rubber and frequent color change production.
